Doctors use Formula One pit crews as safety model

American Medical News reports hospitals in at least a dozen countries are learning how to translate the split-second timing and near-perfect synchronisation of Formula One pit crews to the high-risk handoffs of patients from surgery to recovery and intensive care.
"In Formula One, they have checklists, databases, and they have well-defined processes for doing things, and we don't really have any of those things in health care."

Aston Martin DBS... Finished 26-03-12

G'day guys... First time posting here in the Race Car forum, I'm usually only found in the Muscle Car forum but I gotta do the right thing & post this baby here... Well it is a sports car Wink

It's the Tamiya Aston DBS. Paint is Tamiya French Blue. It'll be box-stock except I've gone to the parts-box for better, low-profile tyres, Bridgestone Potenzas Thumbs Up. I wanted to tone down the chrome wheels without stripping the chrome, if you know what I mean? So as the pics show, I masked off the face of the rims with BMF & sprayed some Testors Black-chrome trim from behind them.... Here's what I've got so far...

Rims masked off...

Result...

Body in colour...

I'll update as I get things done...

Cheers, Cliffo Wink

? for the insiders of the hobby. How long does it take to produce a model. I'm curious of the manufacture process. Is a mold 1 body and all the parts? Are the clear parts a seperate mold?  Explain what a mold looks like. What is demold time? We've all  rumours of Johan molds being carted off for scrap by employees I thought that molds were heavy large things.

Q3: Lewis on pole (again!)

Lewis Hamilton took pole position for the Malaysian Grand Prix, despite making a significant mistake on his fastest lap. Jenson Button made it a perfect day for McLaren with a lap time that was a tenth down on Hamilton, but ahead of Michael Schumacher’s best effort in the Mercedes. The German was not far behind [...]
