Crown Prince: GP cancellation would be a victory for extremists

“We are a real country with real issues and we hope you see us with all our complexities and all our shades,” said HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. “I genuinely believe that this race is a force for good. It unites many people from many different religious backgrounds and sects. Cancelling [...]

Scale Auto interviews

Dear Jim,

I think the interviews are really a great idea, but I have noticed that on the last two interviews, the background noise is so high, that it is very difficult to understand what is being said.

I realize that the interviews appear to take place at shows, but perhaps you could do the interviews where the background is a bit quieter!

Regards

Marc

Marussia Virgin Racing have launched their car to take on the 2011 world championship in a lavish London ceremony. Which direction do you cut?

I was wall painting last week and noticed that when I "broke in" the ceiling I always went to left-to-right. I noticed the same thing when I was applying BMF, as well as when I do any brush painting on small parts.

I'm right handed, and I think the left-to-right is a combination of the technique (in the U.S. anyway) of writing in that direction, as well as having your palm down when doing so.

This suggests that BMF should be applied left-to-right without regard for front-to-back or vice versa.

What are your thoughts? How do you left-handers cut/paint?

What went wrong for the back of the grid?

It was another frustrating season at the back of the grid for F1’s relative new boys. Lotus, HRT and Virgin all in their sophomore seasons in Formula One all failed, again, to score points in 2011. So what went wrong last season and what does 2012 have in store. Lotus They’ve arguably been the best [...]
